Experience
I am in the courtroom Monday through Friday and have handled thousands of cases and have spent hundreds of hours in the court room. I have filed motions and argued in front of juries. I have advised clients that a plea deal is in their best interest or attempted to get a client into diversionary programs. I understand the weight of what being a judge is: balancing the rights of the individual with the needs of the community. My dedication to public service is rooted in the knowledge that my community deserves to be represented, and judged, by someone who has lived through what they are living through.

Why Now?
Given the changing face of the legal system on a national level, as well as the developing needs in Allegheny County, I believe my experience and expertise will be more impactful as a Judge. I always wanted to be a Judge and I believe now is the time to run. My identity -- is an intersection of identities that are often seen in the courtroom, but rarely on the bench -- has fostered within me the tenacity and grit to fight for my community. In that same vein, my lived experience with those identities means that I have faced different challenges than other candidates, equipping me with a unique perspective about how our legal system actually operates.
